Evolution

FLASHBACK:

The day started out like any other day, sort of. Brittany Lohan made a beeline for Orlando Cruze office to cuss him out for reasons that only made sense to her. But when she walked into the room she saw Orlando and Glory engaged in an interesting discussion. The result of the discussion led to Brittany sharing the same office space as her known enemy Glory Braddock. And with reasons unknown to her at the moment, Orlando christened them a tag team. Glory wasn’t pleased by the announcement, the scowl on her face told the story. Shocked initially, it took Brittany a moment to register what the heck just happened. Lando walked out the office with a nasty smirk on his face.

Needing answers, Brittany slammed the door behind her. Crossing her arms, she said in a very demanding tone. “What the hell was that about, Glory?! Why are we team all of a sudden?”

Glory angrily runs her hands through her long amber colored hair and then points accusingly at Brittany.  “This is all your fault!”
Brittany rolls her eyes. “How is this MY fault?”

“You just HAD to walk in the office, didn’t you?”  Glory sighs and shakes her head. “Your timing is bloody terrible!”

Brittany chuckles a bit. “Never told you this but, you’re cute when you’re angry. If we’re going to be stuck together, keep it up.”

Glory rolls her eyes. “Gee, thanks, I bloody well needed to hear that.”

The British Bombshell sighs and smacks herself on the forehead. “I just need to learn to keep my trap shut…”

Brittany shrugs, “I won’t hold my breath on that one.” Brittany walks up to Glory. She crosses her arms. She knew she was invading Glory’s personal space. Considering the intense history between them and the level of annoyance she knew Glory had at her very presence, a normal person wouldn’t tempt face. Britt isn’t a normal person, some had called her a sociopath, a monster, and a nuance. She didn’t know the meaning of the phrase ‘personal boundaries’.

“Shit happens, so suck it up, buttercup. I wouldn’t have thought about teaming with you, even if my life depended on it but, when you calm the fuck down, I believe we will make the perfect team.”

“Yeah?  Well I think…” Glory suddenly stops as she realizes what Brittany just said “...wait, you think we’ll make the perfect team?”

Glory places her hands on her hips and smirks. “What are you smoking and why aren’t you sharing?”

“I should be asking you that, I’ve tasted you special brownies before. Bet you do more with them then mix in a couple E-Lax.” Brittany smirk only last a moment. “Do I like losing to you? No! Do I like walking around this place with the constant reminder no matter how hard I pummel your ass into the ground you somehow find a way to escape my wrath? Not the best feeling in the world, you know. But, if there is one thing I learned from our constant battles...”

Brittany places a hand on Glory’s shoulder. With a smirk she fills her in on the truth. “I don’t hate you as much as I let on. I give the impression I am this sadist who enjoys inflicting pain on other people. Largely that’s true. Why else would your cousin Angelica Jones chose to overlook all the things I did to her family, you especially, in order to bait her into a Seven Stages of Hell match? I love a good battle, Glory, you sense that. Our fights have made me appreciate you more and more, while the thought of losing to you still burns a hole in me, we are destined to stand side by side. Or kill each other, whichever comes first. I’m not ready to die yet so. I prefer to live. Anyway, there are few people in the world I feel more alive with, and you’re one of them.”

Glory gently removes Brittany’s hand from her shoulder.  She holds up one finger. “First of all, you sound just a little creepy right now…”

She holds up two fingers “...secondly, I don’t know about the whole destiny stuff…” Glory smirks knowingly “...but I meant every word I said in that office.  I meant every word that I said to Orlando Cruze.  I can tag team with anyone and win.  Some may call it arrogance, and maybe it is, but it’s also fact.  So can I team with you and make it work?  Damn right I can.”

“WE will make it work.” Brittany smirks. “We are enemies for a reason, Glory. This could have ended along time ago. I could have took my first loss to you and pretended you didn’t exist. There is a person behind that mask you wear. The fun loving prankster, Hollywood type the fans by into is not the Glory I have gone to war with. If I believed in people having souls, we would be it. Batman, Joker. Superman, Lex Luthor. Some pairings are destined.”

Brittany places her hand on Glory’s shoulder again. This time, she gives Glory the same sadistic look she has seen from her many times in the ring. That look that is a precursor to the evil intentions dancing around in her head. “I look forward to bringing out the monster inside you. And when that day comes, Glory. The business will regret the day Orlando Cruze thought pairing us together was a great idea. It is for me, I kinda sorta like you. The rest of the wrestling world won’t like us.”

Glory shakes her head. “You’re wrong, Brittany.  I am not a monster, there is nothing monstrous about me to bring out.  I’m just a competitor.  I try to win.  Simple as that.  But you are right about one thing…”

Braddock chuckles “...the wrestling world will not like us, because no one will be able to stop us.”

Brittany smirks. “That’s my girl.”

“You bring the power, I bring the technical wrestling, the submissions, and the explosiveness, and we both bring the ruthlessness.  That’s not a monster, Brittany.  That’s just one hell of a tag team.  That’s a tag team that can and will be great.”

Brittany takes a steps back. “Is this the part where we exchange numbers?  Right, there is no need for that. I already know where you live. I’ll drop by. Word of advice, put some bars on your window, never know who will sneak in through the window at night.”

Glory rolls her eyes. “Yeah, don’t remind me about your little tricks.  But while we’re handing out advice, here is one from me.  Remember that we are a tag team but this is strictly on a professional basis.  We are not besties or any of that crap.  We will work together, we will win our matches...all of them...and go our separate ways when it is over.  It’s as simple as that.  Furthermore, I will not change you.  Just as you will not change me.  You cannot change me.  No one can change me.”

Brittany tilts her head to the side. “You really don’t like me, do you?”

“I don’t trust you.  Quite frankly, there are few people I trust.”

“Not like I hang out with an entourage of friends, either. Don’t trust me? Fine. I haven’t given you a reason to trust me. But that’s going to change. I want this to work. I believe we can leave a path of misery in our wake. More importantly than that, I’m bored of the whole enemy thing. I’ll win you over. When I want something there is no stopping me, for now I can accept we aren’t exactly the best of friends...”

Brittany walks towards the door. She places her hands on the knob. She looks back at Glory one last time. “But I will win you over. You don’t see it now because you’re clouded by emotions, we have the potential to be the best of friends. Good enemies make better friends. And I want this to work. That’s why you can trust me. So... I’ll see you in the morning. Tag strategy session. Wear something nice. Not the tom boy outfit. Dress like a lady. You’re pretty. Don’t hide it.”

Glory scoffs. “There’s no way in hell I’ll ever wear a dress and heels.  No one can make me, either, not even Jesus Bloody Christ himself.”

“Never say never. See you tomorrow.”

And with that Brittany walked out the room leaving Glory to think how the hell is she going to make tagging with Brittany Lohan work.

PRESENT DAY:

Glory Braddock Noel had no intentions of wrestling in the UWA.  Her sister, Julia, was there.  Julia was the Hybrid Champion and while ruining Julia’s moment would definitely have been fun, Glory knew it would have upset their “mother”, Aphrodite Noel.  The war between the Noel siblings has thus far been confined to GCW and Glory was intending to keep it that way.

And yet when Glory received a call from the office of David Helms offering her an opportunity to team with Brittany Lohan once more to face Vanilly Skyy and Danny Darko, together known as Dark Skyy, then she knew she had to make this one exception.

Brittany Lohan is worth it, as far as Glory is concerned.  Brittany is the third most important person in Glory’s life.  Kurt Logan, Glory’s husband, is number one in her life.  Aphrodite Noel, Glory’s “mother”, is number two.  Brittany Lohan, Glory’s best friend, is number three.  Despite the rocky way their relationship got started, they became fast friends, one of the best tag teams in pro-wrestling, and she would never turn down an opportunity to reunite Twisted & Sadistic.

Tag team wrestling is one of Glory’s many specialties.  And since she and Brittany haven’t been teaming in quite awhile, she knows that making sure that tag team chemistry is still there will be vital.  Thus Braddock-Noel has had her driver take her to Brittany.  The luxury vehicle is pulled up outside of Lohan’s apartment where Brittany stands outside.  Glory opens the door from the inside.

“Brittany!  There you are!”

Brittany, who isn’t known for smile a lot, does just that, genuinely smiles. “Guess so. Nice ride.”
“Thank you, it’s one of my older vehicles but it does the job.  A woman of my stature deserves a little luxury in her life, I think.”

“I wouldn’t know, unless I marry rich. Or win the lottery. So I’ll take your word for it.”

“I understand.  And the truth is, this isn’t really ‘mine’ technically.  Mother gave me this wealth.” Glory shuts her eyes and lets out a sigh of relief. “Ah, the blessings of being a Noel.  Isn’t that right, Bruce?”

Bruce, the driver, can be seen nodding his head. “Yes, Ms. Noel.”

“Take us to the gym my father bought in this area.  I want privacy for mine and my best friend’s workout session.”

Again Bruce nods his head. “Yes, Ms. Noel.”

With that, the car takes off.

“This makes me with Aphrodite was my cousin, not Abi. No.. I couldn’t imagine my life without that girl. Minus the multiple times she stuck a needle in my neck.” Britt sighs.

“Mother is such a wonderful person.  Beautiful, intelligent, and caring.  She helped me through some very trying times in my life, even when I wanted to be stubborn and refuse her help.  Despite my stubbornness, she still remained there steadfast with me to help me until I....how should I put it...came to my senses.”

“Never thought I’d see the day you’d ditch your tomboy roots. Remember telling me you’d never change? I wasn’t expecting you to become royalty, eh,  I’m not complaining. Hashtag more you, right?”

Glory chuckles. “That’s right, MORE ME!”

Braddock-Noel sighs. “You were right back then...you know?  What was it you said?  Never say never?  You were right.  There was a monster inside me and you brought her out.  But I evolved even further thanks to my Mother.”

Glory motions to her full form, clad in a lovely sparkly purple sun dress and heels. “I am the ultimate evolution of Glory Braddock.  Stronger, more intelligent, more ruthless, and far more beautiful than the ugly hag you first spoke with outside of Orlando Cruze’s office.”

Brittany, who is wearing a sleeveless shirt, flexes her right arm. “I’m not doing too shabby myself. About time I toned down.”
Glory winks.  “Stick with me, babe, and I will make a lady out of you.”

Brittany chuckles. “We’ll see about that.”

“Like you said, Britt; never say never.  I said no one could change me but my Mother brought out the BEST in me.  She made into who I am now.  I want to reward her by showing her what I can do with my ruthless aggression.  I want her to see what I have learned from her.  But my sister…”

Glory growls angrily. “...my sister, Julia, she wants to stop me.  She has even been poisoning Mother’s mind against me.  Now I get the feeling that Mother is disappointed in me, possibly even is disgusted my actions...and yet I have done everything for her!”

Braddock-Noel shakes her head. “It’s not my fault.  I blame Julia.”

Brittany has never been the best at reading emotions, she knows Glory well enough to deduce that Glory is bothered by the conflict in a family dynamic Brittany wasn’t quite sure she understand. There was the Blood Grove experiment she watched Dawn entertain for months. The relationship between Glory and Aphrodite wasn’t one of master and pawn, there is a real love there Brittany believes is real. Handling emotional issues has never been Britts strong suit. But she makes an effort to help Glory out with her issue, “The best I can do is ask Abigail to talk to your mother. Those two are like sisters. There is a chance Abigail can talk some sense into your mother. Worth a shot.”

Glory nods her head and then takes Brittany’s hands. “Thank you.  I would greatly appreciate it.  Any help I can get.  It will already be awkward enough being in UWA to compete, even if it is one night only.  UWA is Julia’s territory.  Not mine.”

“I know what you mean. Being under the same roof as Abigail will be a bit awkward too. We get along better these days. Don’t want her to feel I am coming in to overshadow her. And then there’s Rachel... “ Brittany sighs. “... we’re still cool. I don’t approve of her partnership with Silas. That man has made it clear he wants revenge on everyone who burned him. That list includes Regan and Sienna. Rachel was at Regan’s wedding. Don’t get why she would sell them out just so she can win a World Championship?”

Brittany balls up her fist. “Same stunt she pulled aligning with Rachel Foxx, Aiken and company. She knew those two people didn’t think so fondly of me. And would have gladly tried to wipe me off the face of the planet at any given moment. I still care for the cowgirl, despite her choice in allies. Can’t look at her the same way.”

Britt sighs, “Sorry, this is about your family issues, not what am I going to do if Silas lookw at me the wrong way. That man has hell to pay for driving a wedge between me and Marie. And ruining my sister's relationship with Katelyn.”

“Do not apologize.  Our problems are similar.  I want so badly for my sister Julia to see the light and to come home, but I am beginning to wonder if it is too late for her?”  Glory pats Brittany’s hands. “But I do promise you one thing, Brittany, I will always be there for you no matter what.  If the time comes and you need assistance against Silas, do not hesitate to call me.”

Britt nods, “Thanks. I don’t expect Silas to try anything, yet. If the day comes, I won’t hesitate to call you.”

“Right, because no one can stop us?  Isn’t that we both agreed on way back when?  No one can stop us.  And that list includes the newest Silas Girls as well as...Dark Skyy.”

“Everyone has tried. They all failed. Dark Skyy will be no different.” There is a glimmer in Brittany’s eyes, one of the sadistic persuasion. “So, lets burn Dark Skyy to the ground.”

Glory also gets a rather sadistic gleam in her eye. “Remember what we did to the Sinclair Twins?  I have a dream Brittany.  I have a dream that we take UWA’s hero.  The one UWA loves across the board.  I have a dream that we take Vanilla Skyy and we snap her neck like we did to the Sinclairs.  Wouldn’t that be lovely?”

“The image of another neck snapping makes me feel like a woman.” Brittany licks her lips. “God, I missed this. I think the ring is ideal outlet to unleash my darkness. A lot has changed. Trying to live a quasi normal life has it perks. A professional wrestling ring is a warzone. I won’t bring the nice smiling Brittany with me. This is competition. No one is safe. Time to remind the world what a beast I can be between the ropes.”

“Hmmmm another idea,” Glory says while scratching her chin “Danny Dorko is retiring soon.  His last match is against Trinity Street.  Why don’t we make sure Dorko doesn’t make it to Trinity Street and in the process show Ms. Street how it’s done.”

“Normally, I’d be all for that. I do want to watch Trinity publicly execute Darko. That’s her personal vendetta. Not ours. No need getting greedy. Sending a message to the World Champion will do.”

Glory shakes her head. “Sending a message isn’t enough.  We END her.  People in UWA look to Vanilla as if she were a hero, a savior...I am pro-wrestling’s ONLY savior.  It’s time they learned that.  We END her.  We break her.  We leave her a withering mess.”

“I lost count how many times I’ve told you, you’re cute when you’re fired up.” Britt smirks, “You want her broken? Lets do it. What else are best friends for?”

“Glory grins knowingly. “I am gorgeous at ALL times, sweetie.  And at Outbreak, we shall save UWA from two fossils who should have retired long ago, and we will leave the roster, the UWA fans, and Drew Bryant and David Helms with no choice but to say….’thank you’...”

Glory shuts her eyes and smiles. “And I shall say, you’re welcome.”

The car finally stops in front of the gym. Britt breathes a sigh of relief. “Good. We’re here. Now I can burn off all this pent up energy. All this talk about breaking necks and forcing people into retirement has gotten me fired up... in more ways than one. Don’t know how much longer I could contain my excitement. Lets do this.... Working out I mean... not the other thing.”

Glory laughs lightly. “Oh Britt, you’re silly...did you think I forgot the times we DID the other thing? I haven’t.  If you want, I can have Bruce here leave the car while we engage in...well…” she winks “...whatever you wish.”

Britt looks in Bruce direction. “Get out!”

Bruce looks genuinely fearful. “Yes, ma’am!”

Bruce quickly unbuckles his seatbelt, opens the driver’s side door, and exits the car, slamming the door shut behind him.  Once Bruce is gone Glory slowly begins to strip down, starting with her heels.

“It’s a good thing this car has VERY tinted windows.”

Brittany nods, “True.”

And with that...

==========
On Camera
==========

We open in front of a Twisted & Sadistic logo backdrop.  The sound of clicking high heel shoes against concrete can be heard in the background.  Eventually the person wearing said heels steps into view from stage right.  It’s Glory Braddock Noel.  The British Bombshell is wearing a vibrant jewel toned sheath dress with a round neck, long sheer sleeves, sheer front yoke, fitted silhouette, allover lace, and a hemline that stops just above the knee.  The dress brings a bold elegance to the already lovely Glory Braddock Noel.  Her feet are encased in black strappy high heeled sandals.

“I have always said that I am The Best in the World.  I have said it because I know it to be true and I have proven it thirteen times over. I have made some of the best professional wrestlers on this planet tap out whereas I myself have only tapped out one time in my entire career.  My win-loss record is sparkling.  I am damn near perfect, ladies and gentlemen.  Anything my stupid cousin tells you a lie.  She claims to be a dragon and a golden goddess.  A dragon perhaps but there is only one goddess when it comes to pro-wrestling and that’s me!”

Glory smirks knowingly.  “Lately I have taken to calling myself Professional Wrestling’s Savior and Queen.  And just look at my track record there; I saved the Millennium Wrestling Alliance from corruption.  I saved Global Championship Wrestling from pro-wrestling abyss and obscurity when I bought it and resurrected it.  I saved the MCW World Championship by slapping Eric Sailes around like the whiny bitch he is.

Braddock Noel winks at the camera. “You’re welcome for that, by the way…”

“Now whether you want to regard me as a queen is irrelevant to me.  But you cannot deny the fact that I am professional wrestling’s savior.  Each and every time I have been called upon to be the hero, to be the savior,  to rescue someone or to rescue an entire company, I have always stepped up to the plate to get the job done. And I have always been ready to step up to the plate once again to save professional wrestling if it ever needed to be saved.”

She chuckles lightly. “But needless to say, I wasn’t expecting to get a phone call from the office of David Helms. I was even more taken aback when I was told that UWA wanted me to team with Brittany Lohan.”

“You remember Brittany Lohan, right?” Glory pauses as if waiting on a response which never comes. “Big, powerful, beast of a woman?  She’s changed a great deal. But she’s still powerful and she’s still just as sadistic as ever.  I guess that makes me the twisted one of Twisted & Sadistic?”

Glory shrugs her shoulders. “I don’t know, but the point is that me and Brittany together make up the formidable force known as Twisted & Sadistic.  We have been the most powerful force in pro-wrestling, winning tag team gold in every company we have ever been in together.  In Motor City Wrestling we won and held every championship in the company simultaneously.  We broke the necks of any tag team that was dumb enough to cross us.  To put it bluntly, we were unstoppable.  That was inside the ring.  Outside of the ring, Brittany Lohan is and always will be my best friend.  I would do anything for Brittany and she would do anything for me.  Needless to say, I was thrilled at the prospect of teaming with Brittany Lohan once more.  I was thrilled that Twisted & Sadistic would ride again.”

“But that was just the first piece of the news, I would’ve said yes regardless of who the opposition was.  Me and Brittany are equally opportunity destroyers.  It doesn’t matter who you are, we will hurt you, plain and simple.  Still, I was curious to know who the geniuses in UWA had in mind as our opposition.  And much to my delight it was Dark Skyy.”

Glory shakes her head. “Danny Dorko and the UWA World Champion herself Vanilla Skyy.  I was actually quite happy about this.  I’ll get to why I was happy about it in a moment, but first let me ask all of you watching, do you know what Skyy and Dorko have in common?”

Again she waits, as if waiting on a response.  “Well it isn’t just the simple fact that they once fucked each other, although that’s part of it.  What Danny and Vanilla have in common is the fact that they are old, washed up, hacks who do not know when to quit.  They are veterans of this sport who should have retired a long damn time ago but are too damn selfish to do so, they continue to hog all of the spotlight for themselves.  They refuse to leave.  They force themselves and their insufferable presence upon each and every one of us as if we want to continue seeing them.”

She shakes her head. “Newsflash Dork Skyy, NO ONE WANTS TO SEE YOU ANYMORE!  We are all waiting for the day you either retire for good, forced into retirement due to an in ring injury, or you die, whichever one comes first because we are all sick and tired of seeing you.  All you two do is hog the spotlight, keeping it to yourselves and keeping it away from young up and coming superstars.”

“Danny, you really have zero business inside of a wrestling ring.  How long ago was it that Trinity Street butchered you and damn near ended your life, let alone your career?  Vanilla Skyy had to save your ass then.  And now you’re ready to step into the ring with Trinity again at Sectioned?  And that’s assuming you make it to Sectioned.  You’ve been performing worse and worse each time you step into a wrestling ring.  Who knows when you just may suffer a career ending injury that will put you out of action for good?”

“I wanted Twisted & Sadistic to be responsible for ending you but, my bestie wants to see Trinity finish you off, so I’ll try to refrain from breaking you.”  She winks at the camera. “You’re welcome.”

“But you Vanilla, you’re possibly worse than Darko because you do still have ability to get the job done.  The fact that you won the title back is proof of that.  But do you need that world title?  You said it yourself on twitter after losing the title at Olympus, you’ve had a long, fruitful career.  You’ve done everything there is to do in pro-wrestling.  Thus I ask, why are you still here?  Why don’t you just quit?”

“The answer is because you’re selfish.  You do not want to give other people an opportunity.  Willow Wilkes came oh so close to winning the title at Olympus.  I agree with her, SHE should have gotten the first title shot.  But you skipped ahead of her in the line.  Why?  Because you’re Vanilla Skyy?  You’re greedy and held her back.”

“Willow isn’t the only one you’ve held back by your mere presence in this company.  Victoria Salinas, Myra Lynwoood, Rachel Tatum Lee, Alana Starr, and the list goes on and on.”

She points a finger at the camera. “You have held them all back because you won’t quit.  And while they may not say it publicly, I can hear them and their quiet cries...their cries for help…’please save us!  Save us from Vanilla Skyy!’...”

Braddock-Noel shuts her eyes and throws her head back. “I hear you...and I will come to save you from Vanilla Skyy.  I am professional wrestling’s savior and I will save UWA from the poison that is Vanilla Skyy and Danny Darko, the two old veterans who do not know when to quit.  And after Twisted & Sadistic have ended Dark Skyy, after we have finished them off once and for all, I will utter those words…”

She smirks “...you’re welcome.”

As Glory wraps up, another pair of footsteps can be heard off screen, these belong to the boots of Brittany Lohan who appears on screen. She stands behind her long time best friend. Crossing her arms, she waste no time sounding off.

“Danny; I’m going to call this retirement tour for what it is... vanity. This is a vanity tour to sooth your ego as you walk, gingerly I might, add out the door. When I thought I was done with professional wrestling a year ago, I didn’t beg SCW to make a big deal out of my retirement from full time competition. I didn’t ask for fanfare. I didn’t create a poll on Twitter asking what I should do after I hang up my boots. I went about my business as quietly as possible. I returned to SCW, took care of a pest that was haunting me for months, aligned myself with a good friend of mine to fight a battle against Blood Grove and Silas World. And when my part of the war was over, I left. End of discussion. No fanfare. No vanity tour. No announcement months in advance I was going to take my leave. I came. I fought. I left. Why? Because I don’t NEED the admiration.”

Brittany points to the camera. “You do. And that’s why I feel nauseous.”

“But there is a deeper reason why I can’t stand the sight of Danny. 2014. When you were having your little war with Blake Mason. You were scheduled to face him at Upping the Ante 2014. For illegitimate reasons you backed out the fight. Claimed you suffered medical issues that prevented you from stepping foot in the ring again, surprise surprise, two months later you decided to return? Weren’t you told NOT to wrestle anymore? Weren’t you on your deathbed or something? Anyways, you ran from a fight, Danny. Guess who took your place in that match? ME! I had fun, don’t get me wrong, smacking Blake around never gets boring, the point is Darko, I fought your goddamn battle, one you ran away from because it was more important for you to steal someone's championship. And what made it worse? All Vanilla needed to do was ask you to give back the Pure title. You caved. So I beat Blake’s ass for nothing?

Brittany scoffs, “That doesn’t fly by me, Darko. I was used. Part of the reason I’m wrestling again, I came to terms I was used in the latter part of my career. People took advantage of the fact that I would do anything to beat my opponents into the ground, mainly because beating people up excites me. The thrill of the fight. Eye of the tiger, the Rocky stuff that’s a stuff of legends. Why should I go out like that? Why should the final image of my career be that of a mercenary for hire? No more taking advantage of my sunny nature, I am competing for me. Because I want to. So I can benefit from my unique set of skills. I don’t compete full time anymore, whenever I do, it will be under my terms. Teaming with Glory is a no brainer. She’s my best friend, one of the few people I trust, getting the call from the UWA offices was welcome knowing I get a chance to beat your ass for doing you a favor back in 2014, I couldn’t resist.”

“Just so we’re on the same page. I don’t respect you. Your abilities? Sure. You as a man, as a alleged fighter? I don’t. As much as it would please me to be the one to end you on the 15th... I do owe Trinity a favor for setting me free from Silas. Trinity, if you’re watching, my debt is paid off. Consider us even. Darko is yours... assuming he makes it past Scott.”

Britt yawns at the mentioning of Scott Cannon’s name. Composing herself, she continues on, “Last but not least is you, Vanilla Skky. Bitch from the Barrow. Current UWA World Champion.Know I’m stating the obvious...  Glory isn’t a huge fan of yours.”
Brittany smirks. “I won’t pretend to have an overwhelming hatred for you, Vanilla. I’ll leave most the Savior stuff to my best friend. But she does have a point. I couldn’t help but laugh at the Vanilla Skky Gleet Club on Twitter the other day. Your dear sister Mary made a comment and I quote, “I laugh at the pouring support of this Jones girl. It's like the love and attention an old dog gets before its euthanized.” Last time I checked, the outpouring of Vanilla Skky love started the night before. Everyone essentially rolled out the red carpet, sure, the Pro Vanilla, Pro Marie tweets evened out after awhile. But when people like Kennedy and Alana are munching on your carpet, it became a  Saturday Night Live skit. Did all the carpet munching feel good? If I didn’t know better, you are the Queen of Wrestling, anyone who thinks otherwise is dead wrong.”

Brittany shrugs, “I understand. You don’t ask for these sycophants to wet there tongue every time you step in the ring. Maybe you earned that respect being a World Champion on the Uprising brand turned Uprising Wrestling Alliance company, can we take a step back? Of course you were going to dominant Uprising. Split the roster in half, take that same roster and make an entire company out of it. Beating up Gavin Taylor, Chris Davids and Alana Starr more than once? Can’t forget Tina. Is it any real shock you were World Champion for ten months? I’m a realist, Vee. You’re good. Won’t take that away. Circumstances worked in your favor, Ms. Skyy. We both know that to be true.”

Brittany pauses a moment as Glory applauds the point her friend made.

“I don’t hate you, Vanilla. We both know I don’t need to hate a person to enjoy the fight. I have all the confidence in the world I will enjoy this one. Circumstances of your ‘legendary’ reign aside, you are a fighter, Vee. Anyone else would have mentally broken down after your own tag partner decided it was a brilliant idea to concede to Ms. R and Mordecai taking her to parts unknown. You came back. Became professional wrestling's savior, became World Champion, credit where credit is due, I guess. I have no choice but to respect your resilience. Your will the win. And then there is the Mallory darkside, I’ve always appreciated it. No chance in hell I am going to shy away from it. This is what I live for Vanilla. These are the fights I miss so much. The more you bring it, the more its going to fire up my competitive engines. And I will do what I need to to disappoint all of your congregation? Why? Simple. Its what I live for.”

“You could be a broom, or a mop; or any other inanimate object. The objective is still the same, Vanilla. Ensure the person standing across the ring from you is in no condition to answer a three count, maim them to the point where there body gives up on them, it doesn’t matter how bad you want something, the human body can only absorb  so much punishment until it tells you to stand down. Twisted and Sadistic will make the UWA World Heavyweight Champion and her ex husband stand the fuck down. That’s what we do, damn it!

Every tag team who stood up to us, in every company we have taken part of, has been put down.

I love Marie like a daughter BUT GingerNation can not stand up to us.

Dark Fantasy can’t stand up to us.

No tag team currently in what used to be known as the TRIAD can stand up to us. I sincerely doubt the team of Dark Skyy can outlast us in the ring.

Darko is content to team with you one more time. Fine. We’ll make his wet dream possible. Just know Vee. Nothing personal. Me and Glory have a reputation as a tag team to reinforce one, more, time. So, as I am accustomed to saying... ITS CLOB-..”

As Brittany is prepared to finish off the catchphrase she uses, Glory taps her on the arm. Brittany leans in. Glory whispers something in her ear. Britt nods. With a smile she closes the promo saying.

“Scratch that. Welcome to Hell on Earth.”

The Evolution of Glory Braddock

==========
GCW No Chance In Hell
July 26th, 2015
Off Camera
==========

It’s July of 2014 and Julia Braddock, sister of Glory Braddock, had been enslaved for well over a year thanks to Aphrodite Noel, who had been blackmailing the young Braddock prodigy.  What started out as simply a matter of service became something deeper as Aphrodite forced Julia to become her daughter.  Julia even had to change her name to Julia Noel, all with the sole purpose of eliminating the Braddock family line.

Well that didn’t set well with the Braddock family and Glory Braddock in particular, as per the norm for the British Bombshell, stepped up to the plate when no one else would and decided to fight on behalf of her sister.  But Aphrodite Noel would not release Julia unless Glory put something on the line; her freedom in a match.  If Glory were to win, Julia could go free.  But if Aphrodite won, Glory would be under the same agreement Julia was under, Glory would also have to become Aphrodite’s daughter.

The shocking turn of events was the fact that Julia turned on Glory, costing her the match and allowing Aphrodite to win.  That is where we pick things up as Aphrodite Noel and Julia Alexis Noel enter their dressing room followed by Glory Braddock.  It’s Aphrodite who speaks up first…

Gloria, one question...”

Aphrodite smirks.

“Who is in charge now?”

The elder Braddock cannot answer her.  She is glaring angrily at Aphrodite and, if looks could kill, Noel would be dead right now.  But her angry reaction is stopped when Julia slaps her across the face.

“ANSWER HER!”

Glory glares at Julia.

“...how could you?”

“Simple... I am the only person in her life who has cared about her. Julia has always been number one in my heart. Contrary to what you may think of me, I can’t exist in this world without her, she feels the same way. You threatened to tear us apart. Now, you pay for your interference.”

Glory shakes her head.

“It doesn’t matter what you say, Julia will come to her senses and no matter what you say I AM in control!”

Aphrodite chuckles.

A court of law disagrees with you, Gloria. Tonight, you lost. As of right now, you belong to me. What’s yours is mine.”

Julia gets up in Glory’s face and smirks proudly.

“What is your name?”

Glory knows full well the answer that is expected of her but she refuses to give it, choosing to remain defiant until the bitter end.

Glory Braddock.”

Julia slaps her again.

“Wrong answer!”

Aphrodite chuckles.

Gloria Marie Noel is your new name.  You are my daughter.”

Julia glares down at Glory and asks the question again.

“So tell us, what is your name?”

My name is…”

It is becoming all too clear that Glory’s resolve is breaking down.  She knows legally she has no recourse.  Sighing she gives them the answer they want, although through gritted teeth.

“My name is…Gloria Marie Noel.”

It has been a month since Glory was adopted by Aphrodite as her newest daughter.  Glory’s sister, “Princess” Julia Noel has been enjoying this new role.  For the longest time Glory was the favorite within the Braddock Family but now that Aphrodite has adopted both of them, Julia is the favorite.  The tables have indeed turned.  Princess Julia Noel is lying comfortably on the sofa of her dressing room when GCW Owner Glory Braddock enters the room. Glory gets on bended knee in front of Julia.

“Are you comfortable, my sister?”

The Princess grins.

“Oh yes, quite.”

She sits up and looks d own at Glory.

“And I see you have accepted the truth that you are not Gloria Braddock, that you are in reality Gloria Noel, my little sister.”

“I have accepted that in order to stay out of trouble I need to feed you and...Mother...what you want to hear. I know you are my cousin, my younger cousin, and I know one day we'll both be free from her.”

“Freedom?”

She stands up and motions for Glory to rise.

“Freedom is being able to do whatever you want. I was like you once, sister, and I thought I belonged to that filthy Braddock family. While those wild tales remained in my head, Mother kept me in servitude...for my own good of course. When I came to my senses and realized that I was born of royalty, that I had royal blood flowing through my veins, when I realized that I was Julia Noel and not Julia Braddock, I was elevated from servant to Princess of Camelot. And as Princess I can do whatever I want.”

Julia places her hands on Glory's shoulders.

“Queen Aphrodite Noel is OUR mother and she loves us dearly. That's why she made me the heir to her kingdom. And you are Gloria Noel, my baby sister. Once you accept that reality, you will be elevated to the status of Duchess. Lady Gloria of the Camelot Kingdom. Are you ready to admit who you are, my sister?”

Glory shakes her head.

“Never. I will never deny my Braddock heritage.”

“It's a shame. Until you DO come to your senses as I have, you will have to remain a servant. Now bow.”

Glory bows to her knees.

“Yes, my Princess.”

Another month has passed and while Glory hasn’t been quite as brainwashed as Julia has been, she is also beginning to slowly lose faith that she will ever regain any of her freedom that she once had.  She is beginning to slowly accept that she may have to live out the rest of her life as Gloria Marie Noel.  Maybe the Braddock Family really is dead?

We open backstage in a dressing room. Gloria Noel is there with her daughter Melinda. Gloria is smiling, although it is clear it is a forced smile.

“You look lovely, Melinda.”

“I look stupid.”

The fourteen year old is wearing a lovely pink dress indeed, one that matches her mother’s pink dress.

“No, you don’t. You look beautiful.”

“I look like a pansy. Why do I have to wear this crap?”

“We’ve been through this…”

“Yeah, because you’re too scared to stand up to Aphrodite.”

Gloria shakes her head.

“Mel...sweetie...please understand that if you don’t do this then she’ll take me away from you. You know that, right?”

The young teenager does understand this perfectly well.  Aphrodite legally owns this family and Glory can do nothing about it.  Melinda sighs and nods her head.

“ ...yes, I know.”

“So, please...just play along.”

The door swings open. Aphrodite Noel and Mason Van Stanton come in.

“Hellllooooo ladies!”

Glory rolls her eyes at Mason’s greeting.

“Gloria, you are familiar with this dashing young man.”

“Unfortunately, yes…”

“Awww, now is that any way to speak to the man who is gonna help guide Camelot to greatness?”

He walks over to a nearby sofa and jumps onto it. He smirks ever so arrogantly at Gloria.

“I need Mason to be my eyes and ears. Who knows his vagabond brother better than Mason? I also need Mason to accompany you on your journey to IWC. I can’t be there all the time, my Kingdom needs me here. I won’t prevent you from winning another World Championship, only difference your next title reign will be in the Noel name.”

“It doesn’t change anything!”

That loud shout came from Melinda.  Glory swats her daughter on the hand.

“Melinda!”

“...I’m sorry.”

Young Melinda curtsies as her mother taught her.

“Accept my apologies...my Queen...”

“It’s ok, Melinda.”

Aphrodite stares at Gloria.

“Not your fault, Melinda, you still have that ‘Braddock Pride’ poisoning your veins. I trust my favorite daughter shall humble you to the ways of Noel. Correct, Gloria?”

“Oh I will, mother. I already went through the proper legal channels to legally change her name. She is legally Melinda Alexis Noel now. My father Glenn is now the only Braddock left.”

“He’ll be tougher to reign in, old men are set in their ways.”

Glory sighs.

“Could we not just leave him alone? Once he is gone, there is no one left to continue on the legacy. It’s over, mother. You’ve won.

“You’re right, I won. Tonight everyone on the GCW roster will choice to accept my law as absolute. Or they will be fired. I love firing people. Makes me feel warm inside.”

Mason sits up.

“Ahem! If I may interject something...my dimwit of a brother has gone virtually “radio silent” since your beat down last week. That means one of three things...he’s either getting laid, you’ve scared him and he’s running, or he’s got a plan.”

He smirks.

“And that bitch is a virgin so it damn sure isn’t option A!”

“What was he babbling about, demons and men.. some nonsense.”

“Not sure, he may have been drunk, but what I DO know is that if you want to do it live, out in the ring tonight, you may want to have back-up, just in case. In case he actually does bring a demon or three straight from hades or some shit like that. Nothing Rex Sanders and The Princess Julia as well as Gloria here can’t handle, right your Royal Queenliness?”

“Exactly.”

He smirks.

“See how great I am?”

“I see how manipulative you are...”

“That wasn’t nice. Apologize to Mr. Stanton.”

Mason grins.

“Yeah, apologize hotpants.”

“Don’t you see through his crap, mother? You see through me! I agreed to succumb and become a Noel, I even agreed to make my daughter one as well, so I could have my freedom. At least you know I have an agenda. He has an agenda too. He wants to get into our pants.”

“Hey now! I respect the sanctity of marriage!”

Aphrodite nods her head.

“CJ is the one for me, daugther. Mr. Stanton can sell me the entire universe, under no circumstance I would sleep with this man. He knows why I require his presence. He wants to see his brother fail just as badly as I do. What better way to humiliate Henry than by having his more charming, more intelligent, more business minded brother assist in his destruction. You are loyal to Kurt. I don’t fancy you as the type of person to stray on the one they love.”

Glory sighs upon hearing Kurt’s name.

“Kurt...that’s another story altogether. He’s taking my new lot in life very hard.”

“He’ll get used to it. He did wait for you to move past your sister’s new squeeze, Mr. Williams. Don’t mind him, men. If the poor man can’t accept your new lot in life. There are plenty of men who would fall over themselves to worship you.”

“Speaking of my sister, if Julia is The Princess, that makes her the heir. Why then do you say I’m the favorite? Is she not the favorite, mother?”

She wraps an arm around Glory’s shoulder.

“What you told me awhile back resonated with me, Julia can be a tad unstable at times. You’ve proven to me to be the sensible one. I love Julia. I can’t live without her. Her blood sweat and tears helped build Camelot. She deserves the title Princess for all her hard work. I’m impressed by the progress you made. Enjoy spending time with you. Julia’s Princess duties, we don’t spend as much time together anymore. I have grown to depend more on you.”

“Were it not for Julia, I wouldn’t be your daughter today...we both know this.”

Aphrodite nods.

“I know. Well, tonight is a big night. First I take my Television Championship from Kayla Jones. I force a member of the Jones Family to bow to the Queen.”

Royalty, regal, and class have recently defined the nature and personality of one of the best professional wrestlers of all time.  This individual used to be described as a tomboy, so much so that she hated the mere thought of skirts and heels.  Now it's hard to find her in anything but the latest in high class women's fashion.  Now this tomboy can be best described as a lady.

Who is this individual?  It's none other than “The British Bombshell” Glory Braddock.

Glory Braddock's life changed tremendously two years ago.  Back then she was still sole owner of Global Championship Wrestling as well as the reigning FWA World Heavyweight Champion, having recently defeated Isis Derrida for the gold at Darkness Within.  Unfortunately, FWA would shut its doors shortly after Glory won the gold and she would not get to defend the title.  While that fact disappointed Braddock, she tried to look on the positive side; at least now she focus her entire time and energy on her own wrestling promotion.

FWA shutting its doors wouldn't be the only crisis Glory would have to face.  Shortly after FWA shut its doors, Glory was faced with having to deal with one Aphrodite Noel once and for all.

For years Aphrodite had blackmailed and enslaved Julia Braddock, Glory's sister.  Aphrodite even forced Julia to sign paperwork acknowledging that she was Aphrodite's legal daughter.  But Glory never was able to step in to fight on Julia's behalf.  Duties as GCW Owner or her commitments to FWA had always kept her busy.  But now she had enough.  And with FWA shut down, Glory was committed to saving her sister from Aphrodite.  Glory offered to put her own freedom on the line in a match if Aphrodite would put her contract with Julia on the line.

Little did Glory know that it was all a ruse.  Julia, freshly brainwashed, assisted Aphrodite in winning the match.  And as per the agreement, Glory would have to obey Aphrodite and among her first orders was for Glory to allow Aphrodite to adopt her as a daughter.

For two years Glory lived under the shadow of being Aphrodite Noel's daughter and for two years Glory struggled at first to free herself from the bondage and then, as she slowly began to accept her fate, she struggled to consider who she really was.

And perhaps that question has finally been answered for The British Bombshell?  For the tomboyish Glory Braddock no longer exists.  Everywhere she goes, unless she's wrestling, she is a lady to the core.  And while she may call herself Glory Braddock in the wrestling ring for the television cameras, legally she still considers herself Gloria Marie Noel.

Along with the name change and wardrobe change comes a personality change.  No longer is she the stubborn yet humble woman every fan knew and loved.  She is regal and ladylike, very full of herself in the sense that she believes herself to be better than everyone else.

But is it truly a personality change?  Those who know Glory would say so but her true, closest friends would say that this new Glory has always been there, hiding deep down in the inner recesses of her soul this Glory had always been there.  It just took the manipulation of someone like Aphrodite Noel to bring it out.  And this new Glory will do whatever it takes to get what she wants.

And right now what she wants is full control of her company back.

About a year after being forced to change her identity, Glory was slapped with a shocking punishment from the GCW Board of Directors.  She was still owner, they could not take that from her, but they did take away her power to act in an executive fashion within the company.  She was but a mere figurehead.  She hated the move but she knew the Board of Directors did it so as to ensure Aphrodite Noel would not utilize her influence over Glory Braddock to make decisions.

Glory's next move was to sell 50% of GCW, 25% apiece to Donovan Kayl and William Mason, so that GCW would have someone in an ownership position that she trusted to act.  But now she wants her company back.  All of it.  She wants the power to act.

This is what brings her to GCW Headquarters today in Raleigh, NC.  She is sitting in a lobby just outside of the conference room.  The beautiful blonde is wearing a black pencil skirt that flatters her curves, a matching black suit coat over a white silky blouse.  Her feet are encased in black peep-toe high heeled pumps.  Her long golden locks of hair hang to just below the shoulders.  She has been waiting her for awhile now but she can afford to wait.  She has been waiting for this opportunity for a long time now and she is confident that now, finally, she will get what she wants. She is certain the Board of Directors will rule in her favor.

Her wait comes to an end when the conference room door opens and a younger looking brunette steps out, smiling politely at Glory.

“They're ready for you, Ms. Noel...”

Glory stands up and nods in the woman's general direction as a way of acknowledging her.

“Thank you.”

The brunette steps aside and holds the door open as Glory walks across the laminate floor, her heels clicking as she goes.  The brunette shuts the door upon Glory walking across the threshold into the conference room.  The first thing she spots is an oval shaped brown oak desk.  Sitting around this desk are a group of nine individuals, five men and four women.  Braddock scans the entire room, making sure to make eye contact with each of the nine Board members before greeting them.

“I am so happy that you all made time out of your schedules to come and speak with me about the future of MY company.”

Glory pours on the sickeningly sweet tone of voice and makes certain to emphasize the word “MY” for that is key to her request today.  She wants to remind these Board members that GCW belongs to her.

Unfortunately, not all of the Board members sympathize with Glory.  She knew this would be the case going in, particularly the negative feelings coming from a short, pudgy, bald headed Board member near the center of the group named Donald.

“I'm not sure if we're here to discuss the future of GCW or just your future, Ms. Noel.”

A low chuckle escapes Glory's lips.

“My future, GCW's future, they really are the same thing, correct?”

Donald rolls his eyes and motions to an empty chair at the desk.

“Fine, fine, whatever.  Just sit down, please.”

Glory walks over and sits down in the chair at the desk.  The way everyone is seated, Glory now faces all nine of the board members.  For many, this might be an intimidating situation, but for someone who has made her career off of putting her body on the line day in and day out in a wrestling ring, this is child's play.  The confident gaze in Glory's eyes tell the story of a woman who is expecting this to be a walk in the park.  Donald, the primary leader here on this Board of Directors, just stares her down, cold and emotionlessly.  Glory breaks the ice.

“Once again, I want to thank everyone on the Board of Directors for joining me here today.  I am confident that each of you got a copy of my petition, correct?”

Donald nods his head.

“Yes we did.”

“Excellent.  But just to remind everyone, let's go back to the beginning...”

Donald sighs.

“Must we?”

“Yes.  Now then, knowing that I could potentially be manipulated by Aphrodite Noel, you took away my power to act as sole owner of GCW.  You agreed to return it to me under certain conditions.  The primary condition was as follows; you will note that, as per the requirement placed upon me by the Board of Directors, I have diligently attended sessions with a psychiatrist in order to receive the help you claimed I needed.  You will also note that I sold half of the company to Donovan Kayl and William Mason so that, while I attended the required psychiatric sessions, GCW would have owners that could act.”

A woman, a black haired beauty sitting to Donald's left, speaks up this time.

“We remember all of this and it is in your petition.  But ultimately the trouble for you all began with Aphrodite Noel.”

“Quite right, Alicia, but I must ask you this, has Aphrodite Noel not changed her ways recently?”

The woman nods her head in agreement.

“I have to admit, Aphrodite Noel has grown and matured in many ways since the Camelot situation.”

“Great.  Then as you can see, since Aphrodite Noel is no longer a threat, and since I did attend those psychiatric sessions you required me to attend, is it not fair to give me my power back?”

Glory scans the entire table, making sure to stare down each one of the board members.  She can feel as if some are beginning to go her way.  She can feel as if she has this won.  All it takes is for this to become official but that has to come from one person; Donald. And he is the one who speaks next.

“You raise some good points, points that the Board considered when we were making our decision...”

Glory's smirk grows wider.

“...but...”

Glory frowns.

“But?”

“...yes, but the Board must ask you a few questions.  The answer to those questions will ultimately decide whether or not you get your power back.”

“Yeah, sure, whatever you want.”

The British Bombshell forces a confident gaze upon her face.

“I have nothing to hide.”

“Good.  First question is in regards to the psychiatric sessions.  Upon seeing this claim you made about how “diligently” you attended them, I wanted to confirm.  We were told you had not been released from your therapy.  Is that correct?”

Glory inwardly curses her bad luck.  She wasn't expecting them to do such digging and research into this.  The truth is, she has not been released as of yet.

“Uh....yes, that is correct.”

“So, therefore that means you are still attending these sessions, correct?”

“Um...uh...”

Glory is nervous.  Very nervous.

“Don't lie to us, Ms. Noel, because we can find out the truth with a simple phone call.”

“Um...”

Glory sighs and then shakes her head.

“...no, I'm no longer seeing the psychiatrist.”

“So you independently stopped treatment?”

Glory nods her head.

“Yes, that is correct.”

“That wasn't part of the agreement.”

“Look, I know it wasn't part of the agreement but the fact is that I am fine.  Despite what anything that quack of a doctor says, I am fine.  I no longer need treatment.”

Donald frowns.

“We'll be the judge of that.  Tell me...tell the Board...who is your mother?”

Glory stares angrily across the table at Donald.  She refuses to speak.  Now Donald is the one growing more and more confident by the second.

“Go ahead...we are waiting for your answer.”

“My mother...”

Glory sighs.

“...Aphrodite Noel is my mother.”

Donald shakes his head.

“That's all we need to hear.  The Board has decided NOT to grant you full power to act.”

Glory shoots up out of her chair, standing up and glaring across the table angrily at the other board members but more especially at Donald.

“This is an outrage!  You can't do this!  GCW is my company!”

“Incorrect.  GCW belongs to Gloria Marie Braddock.  So long as you claim to be Gloria Marie Noel, you will not receive anything from this Board.”

He points to the door.

“Good day...Ms. Noel...”

In a huff Glory turns and storms out of the conference room, slamming the door behind her.  She is not in a good mood for this meeting did not go as planned.  She was expecting a victory.  She was expecting to get her company back.  But it didn't happen that way.  The British Bombshell scans the lobby for that brunette earlier, the woman who led her into the meeting.  Maybe she can complain to her.  It would make her feel better, at least.  But she doesn't find that woman.  Instead she finds, sitting there in the lobby waiting on her, is Glory's husband Kurt Logan.

“Oh Kurt!”

She walks over.  Kurt stands up and greets her with a hug.

“What happened, babe?”

“They still refuse to give me power to act.”

Kurt sighs and growls under his breath.

“Those mindless twerps...they have no idea what they are doing.”

“That's an understatement.  They are fools and they will pay for this!  I guarantee it!  I just...”

Glory finds a seat.  Kurt sits down next to her.  Glory sighs.

“...I just need to think about what I should do next.”

“Well I'm not sure what to do about them, but I do have some news that could at least distract you from those idiots.”

Glory perks up.

“I could use a distraction.  Is this good news?”

“I think you will be pleased.  I received a call from a Duane somebody.  The Future Wrestling Alliance is reopening.”

“FWA?  Really?”

Kurt nods his head.

“Yeah, FWA.  That was the company where you were the World Champion.”

“I was the last reigning FWA World Champion.  The company shut down before I could get a chance to defend it.”

“Duane recalled that all too well.  And he used it to make a very interesting proposal.”

Kurt grins as he takes Glory by her hands, squeezing them tightly.

“As far as they're concerned, you are STILL the FWA World Champion.”

Glory's eyes grow wide.

“Seriously?!”

“I am dead serious, babe.  All you have to do is sign a new contract.”

Kurt leans forward and kisses her on the forehead.

“So tell me, are you interested in meeting this Duane guy?”

That confident smirk from earlier returns to Glory's face.

“You know it.”

==========
On Camera
==========

We open in what appears to be a pure white room, white as a lamb’s wool.  In the center of the room is a wine red cushioned throne with gold decorative design.  This is clearly a throne belonging to someone of royal heritage, but who is the regal owner of this seat?  None other than the beautiful feminine figure entering the scene from stage left; “The British Bombshell” Glory Braddock.  Glory is wearing a rose gold colored bodycon style dress.  The gold dress is covered in lovely rose gold sequins with a wide rounded neckline and three-quarter sleeves.  She is perched atop strappy high heeled sandals.  Her lovely golden hair hangs down to just below shoulder length.   The British Beauty has the FWA World Heavyweight Championship belt draped over her right shoulder.  Then, just as naturally as if she belonged there, she sits down on the throne, and crosses her legs, one of the other.  She stares at the camera with a smug grin on her face.

“A little over two years ago, the Future Wrestling Alliance was born. Unfortunately, it was born with a curse, the curse of a man known as Isis Derrida.  Now Mr. Derrida is an average wrestler at best, so the fact that he became first world champion was a miracle, but I guess even a blind squirrel can find a nut once in awhile, and that’s just what happened isn’t it?  Isis Derrida, your blind squirrel, found the nut and he became champion.  The problem for FWA is that an Isis Derrida world title reign brought ratings down.  He was so boring and so uncharismatic that people began to quit tuning in.  FWA was in such desperate straits that the company would soon go out of business if things did not soon change.  What FWA needed was a savior, someone to save them from the Isis Derrida title reign.”

Braddock motions to herself.

“Naturally, they came to me.  I remember when I was first approached by FWA management.  They were practically on their hands and knees begging me to take the championship away from Isis Derrida.  They begged and pleaded with me to become the savior of FWA.  And of course, I answered them the only way I knew how…”

She nods her head.

“…yes, I will be your savior.  I told them I would be their savior and in no time I beat and humiliated Derrida within an inch of his pathetic life.  And I was so good at what I did that I didn’t just run him out of FWA but I also ran him out of professional wrestling.  You can thank me for never having to see or hear Isis Derrida again.”

Glory uncrosses her legs and then she pushes herself up out of the chair onto the floor.

“Now let’s fast forward, two years later and the FWA has been shuttered up for awhile, thanks almost entirely to The Great Depression known as Isis Derrida.  I received a phone call, or rather my wonderful husband Kurt Logan did, a phone call from Duane Jacobs, owner of FWA.  Apparently he was ready to bring FWA back and apparently, just like before, FWA needed star power.  You can’t just resurrect a company without star power; no one would care.  Mr. Jacobs contacted his primary star, the big celebrity he knew would bring in the fan base that FWA needed in order to resurrect itself and become a major player once again.”

Glory laughs lightly.

“He contacted me, of course.  I mean, not only was I a main event player in the FWA of old, but I was its World Champion…”

She pats the title belt, the FWA world title belt that still rests upon her shoulder.

“…and I still am, apparently!  Jacobs knew that I could save FWA, he knew that I could bring it back from the dead!  And just like before, out of the goodness of my royal heart, I said those words that Duane Jacobs so wanted to hear…”

Glory nods her head.

“…yes, I will be your savior!”

Glory adjusts the title belt over her shoulder.  She winks at the camera.

“Now, you may be saying to yourself right now, ‘Glory, you were the savior once before and yet FWA still shut down?  What makes this any different?’ Well that is a good question, because the fact is back then I was an incomplete savior.  I was an incomplete Glory Braddock.  Yes, I had the pure wrestling talent and ability.  Yes, I was and still am The Best in the World.  Beating anyone and everyone FWA put in front of me was never the problem.  I was back then and here two years later I still am the best FWA World Champion ever.  Bar none.”

She holds up one finger.

“But I was missing one thing…the public image.  The people didn’t want to see a frumpy world champion.  They needed someone who could represent them with true class and dignity.  And that is why this new incarnation of FWA will succeed, because I am here as your savior and I am not just The Best Wrestler in the World but I am also a leader you can be proud of.  You can look to me as a role model of how to live your lives.  You can live vicariously through me.”

She smirks arrogantly.

“You’re welcome.”

Glory laughs lightly.

“FWA’s first event is coming up very quickly.  Mayhem will be live from the Pico Rivera Sports Arena in Pico Rivera, Los Angeles, California.  Granted, this will be a slight step down for yours truly.  I am used to competing in major venues such as Madison Square Garden or in great, historic countries leading the way in progress, countries like the United Kingdom, but instead I, along with the rest of FWA, am relegated to competing in the armpit of the United States, California.  And this isn’t just anywhere in California, this is LA!  And I know those poor, pathetic souls will probably be waiting forever if they continue to wait for the Lakers to bring home a championship.  But have no fear, LA fans!  I have decided to give you something the Lakers will never be able to give you.  I will be your champion!  You’re welcome!”

She holds up her championship belt.

“It’s about this, ladies and gentlemen.  It’s all about this strap I have in my possession, the FWA World Championship.  I have been champion for two years and you can cry all day long about how it’s because FWA shut its doors for two years but the fact is FWA could have vacated the belt, they could have crowned a new champion, but they knew that no one else measured up to me, they knew that I was The Best in the World, so they knew they may as well let me keep the belt that I EARNED back at Darkness Within before FWA closed its doors.  For two years I have represented FWA as the champion and I will continue to do so because I am the best.  And Rayne Young will soon learn that lesson…”

She frowns.

“…the hard way.”

She lowers the belt back onto her shoulder.

“It’s funny, in our long and storied history, we have never once did battle.  Never once did we go one on one, head to head.  Thanks Duane Jacobs, that will change on Mayhem, only with a special stipulation.  If I win, I get to name the number one contender to the FWA World Championship.  And let’s be honest, I am wrestling royalty, only I am worthy of choosing a proper challenger, only I am wise enough to choose a worthy contender for the FWA World Championship.  I mean, if Duane Jacobs really knew what he was doing, he would just let me choose the number one contender anyway.  Granted, he may as well have let me choose.  All I have to do is beat you and that shouldn’t be much of a problem.”

Glory sighs.

“But as I said earlier, a blind squirrel can find a nut once in a while.  Isis Derrida did when his average ass won the Rumble Bash to become world champion.  I guess you could get lucky and beat me, Rayne, and in the event you beat me, you become number one contender to the FWA World Championship.”

Glory chuckles lightly.

“Sorry for laughing, but I do find it rather humorous that you think you can be champion again.  We’ll be competing in Los Angeles, which is Lakers country, so why don’t I just compare you to Lakers’ star Kobe Bryant.  He is a legend too.  He also has championships to his name.  But as good as he is, as many opponents as he led his Lakers to victory over, there was one opponent he could not defeat…”

She pauses for dramatic effect.

“…time.  As time passed on, so did his talents also pass on and left him.  Now, in present day, he has gotten so pathetically bad that his teammates are having to do their level best to make him look good.  He is retiring after this season.”

She points at the camera.

“That’s what you should do, Rayne.  That’s what you SHOULD have done time and time again and yet each time the world of professional wrestling thinks you are actually serious about retirement, you change your mind and attempt one more comeback, and once again the wrestling world at large lets out a groan of despair realizing that they have to listen to you and watch you again.”

Braddock shakes her head.

“But not this time.  Because I am here to save my loyal subjects from having to be tortured and tormented with another Rayne Young comeback story, because there is no reality in which you beat me, Rayne.  Just as there is no reality in which Kobe Bryant and his Lakers succeed.  Kobe is known as the Black Mamba, but you and him are both just a pair of garden snakes now, harmless to everyone, and just like a snake, your head will be chopped off at Mayhem.  And Duane Jacobs has given me the perfect forum to do just that, because our match isn’t any normal match.”

Braddock shakes her head.

“It’s two out of three falls, with each fall being contested under different rules.  This is known in some circles as three stages of hell, and for you, Rayne, this really will be three stages of hell, because I will put you through a pure and unending hell, until there is nothing left of you.”

She holds up one finger.

“The first fall is a submissions match and in case you didn’t know, I am The Best WRESTLER In The World!  And I put emphasis on the word WRESTLER because when it comes to pure, straight up wrestling, no one can touch me.  I can beat you in a number of ways, Rayne.  I can slap on the Glorify Thy Name, my version of the Indian Deathlock, and break your legs.  OR I could put you in the Boston Crab, a nod to my cousins the Jones sisters, and break your back.  OR, my personal favorite,  I could put you in the Shekhinah Glory, and watch as you either tap out or pass out from the pain.  Either way is fine by me, because either way I win.  Oh and by the way, since I made my debut in 2008, do you know how many times I have tapped out?  Just one time.  That’s rarified air, Rayne, and I doubt you’ll be able to join that elite club.”

She holds up a second finger.

“The second fall will be a steel cage match.  Pure brutality is what you like, right?  Unfortunately for you, I can do brutality and violence with the best of them.  I know what it’s like to have to put my body on the line, I know what it’s like to make sacrifices in order to win.  I know what’s like to suffer and to be left lying in a puddle of your own blood.  So I’m not afraid of the cage.  And as you should well know, I am also not afraid to make you suffer, to make you bleed, and to leave you lying in a puddle of your own blood if I have to.  I am prepared to do whatever it takes to win in the cage, Rayne.  So bring your worst, I’m ready for it.”

She holds up a third finger.

“And the third fall, if necessary, will be a ladder match.  How appropriate that the final fall will be a ladder match?  Granted it won’t be necessary, because I plan to sweep you two straight falls, but in the off chance it happens, I will get to figuratively and literally climb the ladder of success, just as I so quickly climbed that figurative ladder of success all of my life to get to the top, to get to where I am today!  And when I get to the top of the ladder and snatch down that contract that allows me and only me with the opportunity to choose the next number one contender to the FWA World Championship.”

She points at the camera.

“And while I am sitting there atop the ladder, I will gaze down at your fallen form, I will also look out my loyal subjects and peasants watching me, I will soak in their adulation and praise as they cheer and chant my name, thanking me for yet again saving them, saving them from yet another Rayne Young comeback story.”

She shakes her head.

“The FWA doesn’t need a re-hashed Rayne Young comeback story.  They don’t need some older than Moses leading them.  They need me, their Savior and Queen, leading them into the future and into promised land as the FWA World Champion.  But I will allow you one last notable moment, Rayne.  I will allow you one final historic moment, your last great moment in the sun.  No, you won’t beat me, I’m too damn good for anyone to beat me, let alone you, but what I am going to allow you to do will be almost as good and it will be a historic moment that will live on in wrestling fame forever.  I will come down from that ladder, Rayne Young…”

Glory sits back on the throne and crosses her legs, grinning from ear to ear.

“…and you will worship me.”

The camera fades to black.
